Planned maintenance work will take place at the Heide refinery for a month from the end of February. The production facilities affected by the TÜV inspections will be shut down for this purpose, but oil processing will continue during this time - albeit somewhat restricted. According to the Heide refinery, inspection, cleaning and, if necessary, repair work will be carried out during "ongoing operations that have been reduced in a few areas". This ensures that customers can continue to be supplied with products even during the shutdown.

Affected by cleaning and maintenance are large plant components such as 180 heat exchangers and 26 columns. The refinery's approximately 120 employees will be supported by around 820 employees from external partner companies during the inspection period.
